Afghanistan: Support for families

Refugee Women Connect are working with Liverpool City Council to support newly arrived refugees from Afghanistan and we are talking to families about what they need.  We cannot accept any donations of goods at present, as we do not have the capacity to store them.  We will share a list here of any items families tell us they need, and will deliver them as soon as they are received.

At present, the greatest need families have is for support from our staff.  We are visiting families, organising social activities for women and children, answering questions and offering a warm welcome to Liverpool and the UK.  Women have requested English lessons, and we hope to start these soon.

It would make a huge difference to the support we are able to provide if you could make a financial donation.
