COVID-19: how we're responding

COVID-19 is making an already difficult situation even more difficult for some refugee women. At Refugee Women Connect we are working hard with our women and sector partners to mitigate further crisis by adapting our services and using our influence to improve conditions. We are helping to coordinate the local sector response to ensure a joined up approach on a region-wide level and making recommendations nationally for aspects of this crisis that specifically affect refugee women.

Refugee Women Connect drop-ins are currently operating with social distancing measures in place to mitigate the risk to our service users, volunteers and colleagues.

  • There are weekly Early Action face-to-face group sessions taking place on Tuesdays at St Brides, Liverpool.
  • We are operating some face to face mental health services in conjunction with telephone check-ins
  • We have resumed visits to Initial Accommodations and hotels in the Liverpool area

We ask that prior to attending any in person service that you take a lateral flow test to ensure you are not carrying COVID-19.

We are still accepting referrals and continuing to offer support to new service users. To make a referral please use this form and email it to [email protected].

Our team will be home based during this time and can be contacted via their usual mobile numbers and email addresses. For general enquiries, please contact [email protected].

Please note our office phone line is not being monitored and messages will not be picked up.
