Ukrainians- what to do if you or your family needs support

In response to the war in Ukraine, the Home Office has announced fast tracked visa concessions for Ukrainians settled in the UK or UK citizens with Ukrainian family (including spouses, unmarried partners, children under 18 and adult dependents).  Free Movement are providing more detailed information on the situation here and the Ukraine Advice Project are providing free legal immigration support for Ukrainians in the UK here.

If you are a member of the Ukrainian community in Liverpool and are experiencing distress, you can get support from Sunflowers, a Liverpool charity which can offer free counselling with no waiting list.  Access this service by contacting Sunflowers on 0151 726 8934 or emailing [email protected]

What you can do to support Ukraine

While goods are needed across the Ukraine, the logistics of transporting and distributing donations of goods is complex. If you want to help please refer to the British Red Cross and/or the UN’s Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.  They are working to get aid  to the parts of the Ukraine that most need it in a coordinated and orderly way.

As this crisis unfolds, the UK Government seeking to restrict refugee protection in the UK via the Nationality and Borders Bill.  If you believe the UK should keep its commitment to being a country of compassion and sanctuary, please email your MP and let them know or join Together with Refugees day of action on March 21^st.

Вільний Рух “Free Movement” надає більш детальну інформацію щодо ситуації тут та Український Проект Порад “Ukraine Advice Project” надає безкоштовну юридичну імміграційну допомогу українцям у Великобританії чи тим, хто прагне приїхати до Великобританії, тут.

Що ви можете зробити щоб підтримати Україну?

В той час як провізія потрібна по всій Україні, логістика транспортування та дистрибуції цієї провізії є складною. Це буде гарантією того що допомога якогомога швидше буде доставлена до частин України, що найбільш її потребують у координованій і впорядкованій манері.

Advice for Russian asylum seekers

If you are a Russian citizen who is seeking asylum in the UK, or has been refused asylum in the UK, please contact your solicitor for advice on how the current situation in Russia might affect your claim.  If you do not have a solicitor,  please contact us.  Refugee Women Connect are not legal advisers, but we can help you to find a solicitor to represent you with your asylum claim.  We can only help women who are already in the UK.
