We are delighted to announce the opening of Refugee Women Connect's first art exhibition and we would love for you to join us on Thursday 5th May 6-8pm at Granby Winter Gardens, Liverpool.

'Empowering Women with Art' is an exhibition featuring exclusive original artwork created by the women who attend Refugee Women Connect's weekly Early Action Art Group.

The event will be an exciting celebration of art and creativity, centring the voices and talents of women seeking sanctuary in the UK. Each week the group have been able to explore different creative techniques, from collaborative collage pieces to beautiful installations, and pieces inspired by our International Women's Day celebrations. We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to showcase our artwork in such a beautiful venue.

Entry is free, however if you can afford to do so we ask you make a suggested donation of £5, which will go towards continuing the work of Refugee Women Connect.

Refreshments will be provided on arrival. There will also be an opportunity to buy prints of the art pieces and merchandise at the exhibition. Please bring cash as we will be unable to accept card payments or donations.
