Celebrate International Women's Day on the 8th March! On the 8th of March, we will proudly celebrate International Women’s Day, a global moment to recognise the strength, resilience, and achievements of women around the world. At Refugee Women Connect, this day holds special meaning as we honour the incredible women we work alongside every day, women who show courage and strength as they seek to rebuild their lives in the UK. This year’s theme, 'Give to Gain', reminds us that when people, organisations and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increases. By giving time, resources, encouragement, and advocacy, you help us to create spaces where women like those at Refugee Women Connect can thrive. As the fundraising climate becomes increasingly challenging, we need your support now more than ever to continue standing alongside refugee women. In 2025 we worked with over 600 women, supporting with accommodation and housing, school access for their children, and information sessions and English language classes. We also offered bespoke one-to-one mental health support for women recovering from trauma, as well as group wellbeing sessions, such as our art group and yoga sessions. We know that the services we provide make a lasting difference, refugee women gain confidence, skills, community, and hope for the future. Hear from our Director, Comfort Etim as she shares a message of hope this International Women's Day. This International Women’s Day, we’re asking you to embrace the message of Give To Gain. When you give, refugee women gain the support they need to rebuild their lives! Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. All donations are crucial to support Refugee Women Connect and its valuable work. Click here to give a donation to our International Women's Day Appeal. Manage Cookie Preferences
