Come and celebrate Refugee Week with us! Monday 19th June Join us for our 'Everything RWC/Fundraising Online Event' (Free) 6pm (Online) A special online event to launch our Refugee Week celebrations. We'll be hearing stories from women with lived experience and will be showcasing the work of Refugee Women Connect and the ways you can support the work that we do. Everything RWC/Fundraising Online Event Tuesday 20th June Our usual weekly Liverpool drop-in…with a Refugee Week flavour! We will be reflecting on the theme of ‘Compassion’, with an activity lead by our mental Health and Wellbeing Team. And celebrating the wonderfully diverse women of Refugee Women Connect with music, dance, singing with the wonderful Singing Mamas and food from around the world. Open only to women registered with Refugee Women Connect, and to invited partner organisations. Wednesday 21st June The Mental Health team will be inviting the women they support on a special 'Compassion' walk to take time to reflect on what compassion means to them. Fundraising Raffle 7pm onwards The Brookhouse, Smithdown Road, L15 5AE Join our Liverpool Student Fundraising Group for their last event of the term! The group will be hosting a raffle with incredible prizes generously donated by local businesses. Thursday 22nd June HOME? Knowledge Exchange in Liverpool in collaboration with People's Voice Media (Free) 10am - 2.30pm Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre, Princes Road, Liverpool 8. A special Refugee Week event, exploring and celebrating the stories of women who have migrated to the North of England. Join us to hear the stories of women who have moved to the UK, to meet organisations working in the local community, and to celebrate the women of Refugee Women Connect. Get involved in the activities running throughout the day: guided meditation; art exhibition; music and dance; delicious food. You will also have the opportunity to contribute your opinions and ideas to a national project led by People’s Voice Media which is looking at stories of migration to the UK and how these are reported in local media. Open to everyone: members of the public are very welcome to come along and join our celebration. HOME? Knowledge Exchange A special Refugee Week event for the whole community in St Helens: talks; games & activities; food and cultural dress from around the world. Saturday 24th June Communities Together - Celebrating diversity and culture in St Helens Borough 11am-5pm St Helens Parish Church, WA10 1AF Join us for a free, cultural day showcasing art, music, dance, food, workshops and performances organised by the St Helens Borough Council's Refugee Resettlement Service. Join us this Refugee Week and be part of a transformative movement that champions human rights, promotes equality, and celebrates the resilience of refugees.
