Refugee Women Connect has played an active role in helping women to be safely removed from domestically abusive relationships. By working with specialist partners that provide support to women who are victims of domestic abuse and legal help in applying for a Migrant Victims of Abuse Concession (MVDAC). These referrals get funds for temporary accommodation whilst the women are waiting for the decision on their MVDAC to come through from the Home Office.

One of these women is now rebuilding her life and has gone on to secure employment as an accountment.
