This time last year…

Our colleague Fatmeh was representing RWC at the Global Refugee Forum held by the UN Refugee Agency in Geneva, Switzerland. Fatmeh is our Drop-In Coordinator at Refugee Women Connect, responsible for organising the drop-ins which support hundreds of asylum-seeking and refugee women and children in Liverpool and St Helens each year. She is also a person with lived experience of forced migration, and a highlight of the Global Refugee Forum was being interviewed by LBC TV, a Lebanese network, about the experiences of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and the possibility of return home to Syria.

Fatmeh found it very impactful and empowering to attend the Forum and represent Refugee Women Connect, drawing on her personal as well as professional experiences. A true Expert by Experience and inspiration to the Refugee Women Connect community.
