Have you been inspired by all of the Manchester and London Marathon photos that are filling your feed? The determination at the start line, the smiles through exhaustion, the crowds cheering people home, it’s hard not to feel moved by the sense of achievement and community.

Now imagine channelling that same energy into your own journey. Whether you’re a first-time runner or chasing a new personal challenge, this could be your moment to take part, set a goal, and make every mile matter. And if you choose to fundraise, your run becomes more than just a finish line, it becomes real support for people who need it most.

We're thrilled to share that Refugee Women Connect is offering a chance for you to participate in a race and raise much needed funds for the work that we do!

Liverpool Women's 5km/10km, 6th September 2026

Why Participate?

Refugee Women Connect works tirelessly to support women who have fled their homes due to conflict, persecution, or gender based violence. We offer practical support for refugee women and their families. This includes expert casework, support with accommodation and housing, school access for children, and information sessions and English language classes. We also offer bespoke one-to-one mental health support for women recovering from trauma, as well as group wellbeing sessions, such as our art group and yoga sessions. As a fundraiser you will be raising money to help us to continue to offer the support refugee and asylum women in our community need to rebuild their lives.
